I have never been to a place such as this. They literally worship 60's music. Such as, Jonis Joplin,Lynard Skynard,The Steve Miller Band and others. It is probably a 60's town also and needs to be placed in your map of hippie places. The people have long hair,dress in flares and hippie clothing.

Comment: i''m an 8th generation native of the area. waynesville is not a hippie haven. it''s full of tourons who moved here with their yuppie money to start businesses catering to other tourons. all else you''ll see there are poor dumb locals who can''t afford to leave now that all their jobs have gone to asia & south america, & more yuppie-money tourons wanting to move & start businesses. fuck waynesville.

Comment: Those are unemployed textile workers, not real hippies. If you come be sure to bring plenty of extra whatever (love, food, money, dope) to share with the locals.
