An awesome album with top punk bands singing new-generation protest songs against our "president" and his piss-poor policies.
Rock Against Bush Volume 2 is a compilation of the finest punk and alternative rock bands today, and features twenty-eight impressive tracks, some of which were previously unreleased and are considered rare tracks. The CD also comes with a DVD that explains why Bush is bad for everyone on the planet.
I purchased this album a few weeks ago, and it has become one of my favorite CDs. I'd call it an instant classic. The best songs are: number one, "Favorite Son" by Green Day; "Drunken Lullabies" by Flogging Molly (track six); and "Fields of Agony" by No Use For A Name (track twenty-eight).

Comment: "someone" is a big idiot...how can u like punk rock and say politics should be kept out of music, that is the stupidest statement i have ever heard. then he adds that the bands are obnoxioulsy rich...obviously he only likes the mainstream bands like green day who yes, are rich. but what about the majority of the bands on the cd that the average person never has and never will hear of? and just for the record, the bands on this album have made mostly political songs in the past and that''s why they are punk rock bands, punk is all about rebellion and protest and what better time to protest than now under the bush administration.

Comment: In reply to ''someone'' who said ''I Don''t like Songs with Ideas?''
What? Don''t you get it??
The whole punk revolution was about rebellion and anti establishment.
Bob Dylan and The Stones were always on about protest - and passing ideas .
Music , in any form , should be an outlet - Rock has , in my opinion , always has been the medium of rebellion and protest.
These bands should be commended for ebign brave enough to go against the corporate media machine and risk precious sales by potentially alienating themselves from peopel who may disagree with their statement.

Comment: i hate this cd, but not for the music. i hate it because it invloves music with politics. im a republican and a conservative and i really dont care what anyone who is reading this is. i like most of the bands on this cd, but i dont want to hear them singing about politics. the music on this cd was great, but all the songs were ruined for me because all the lyrics had to do with ideas that i dont agree with (actually there werent many ideas here, just "bush sux and cant speak well" over and over). also, i hate it when people try to act like they are better than other people just cause they belong to an opposing party. this is how most people talk about politics:
you deserve to die! die and go to hell and burn!
o yeah? well i hope you get raped!...twice! maybe then youll feel differently!
we dont need to find weapons of mass destruction; we just need to want to find them.
i voted for nadar! i hate all of you!

so like i said, all this music was ruined with "ideas" that dont apeal to half of, actually the majority of, the customers (and i didnt buy the cd, i got some of the songs with limewire). so please, for the love of music, keep politics out of the picture. it has nothing to do with the obnoxiously rich bands who sing the songs anyway so why are they trying to cram their "beliefs" down our throats?

Comment: It''s good to hear bad punk bands play real songs. I hope they learn something about writing real music.
Unfortunantly people these days seem to be concentrated against just one political party, idiots...all politicians talk out both sides of their mouths, don''t turn you back to the democrats while you are fighting the GOP or you will get stabbed in the back. That''s why we have two eyes, one for each of ''em.

Comment: This is the greatest collection of ANY artists ever. This Cd is the best ever, I would like to see Jeff over here make a CD. The bands are not doing it for the money, if you LISTEN TO THE MUSIC then you can tell that they are truly angry. Some of the bands are not normally good, but they really mean what they say on this CD, so they are making some of the best songs.

Comment: Yeah, Jeff, that is pathetic. Go take an economics course or something.... or actually, no, just open your eyes to the world, maybe grow up, get a job, and realize the world is not as one sided as you think.

Comment: Jeff may understand a little more about economics after he takes a course in Middle School. The CD is a better than average collection from some of the premiere artists of 2004.

Comment: if it were''nt for conservative capitalism (regardless of your opinion on war) no one could pay YOU enough money to be able for you to kepp rockin''. i don''t like war but i like your music, and that means that as, simple economics states (not that musicians like you pay attention to it, obviously), you need a fan base w/ money to make YOUR money, and with the liberals only the rich conservatives could afford to support you. one problem with that, you just aliennated them, and now they don''t want a thing to do with you, and guess what, tough shit, no more money goes to you, and you''d have to work like anybody does.
