| The following positions are voluntary (unpaid). You must
be willing to work at least 2 hours a week (see it's not a big deal).
You will be responsible for carrying out the duties detailed below.
You will be given credit for your work, given your own webpage and we'll
even post a photo of you if you like! One day these could become
paid positions.
Newshounds/Webhounds
These positions are open to anyone who is willing to send us interesting
news items or new links for the website. You must actually write
the story (don't just send us someone else's story) or write a review of
a website (based on your own research).
Editors
These positions entail reviewing items submitted and editing them to
post on the site. The editors will also decide what items to include
and assign stories to newshounds. The editor can also contribute
their own stories. The editor will also respond to e-mail. We have
the following positions available:
News Editor
Media Editor (music, movies, books, etc.)
Lifestyle Editor
Activism Editor
Columnists
Individuals with something to say, and a talent for writing will be
offered their own column (like the Old Hippy's). They would need
to contribute a new column once a month. Subjects are determined
by the columnist's own interests. They will need to respond to e-mail.
Web Assistants
We need people with web savvy to post new items on the site, design
pages, answer e-mail and manage the site on a regular basis (about 2 hours
a week).
