20 mins. from Ithaca. It's home to the annual hippie fingerlakes Grassroots music fest! Iit's also home of the Rongovian Embassy Bar and Restaurant which is always happy to host Dead cover bands and any other kind scene.

My Score:

Comment: my fiance was born and raised in interlake, three miles from trumansburg. his grandparents and other relatives live in trumansburg, less than half a mile from grassroots festival site. its a nice area with lots and lots of farmland. yeah there are hippies in the area but i wouldnt necessarily say this is a desirable hippie town to move to. instead look into ithaca which is 20 minutes away. the only reason that trumansburg is known at all is because of the grassroots festival. this isnt a town with shops and restaurants and there is nothing really to do than go this local bar called "kidders landing"(i heard it has been shut down). no one really moves here, its just a place where people stay after they graduate high school. i dont recommend trumansburg and if you have been there as many times as i have, i think you would agree. pretty place but not many activities go on here.
