Static quality is in daily occurences, whereas dynamic quality is an extraordinary unusual situation. Phaedrus's metaphysical journey on motorcycle has ended. He has traded it in for a yacht, in which he meets some new friends and enemies. Pirsig develops comparisons between many ideas, beliefs, and morals.
