I think Skip Stone's "Hippies From A to Z" is an excellent read for any young hippie. The book offers several descriptions on how to define a hippie/hippy (also found on this website!).

Throughout the book are deep, inspiring quotes from some of our favorite old hippies and respected members of society. Views on drugs, sex, and rock and roll are also offered; along with the stories of protests, marches, masacres, and events that go along with "the three evils". The book emphasises any true hippie's main priorities on peace, love, freedom, and mother earth. It encourages all of us young and old, to get out there and continue to help our world become a peaceful, happy place.

At the end are lists of music to listen to, a glossary, names for anyone expecting a "flower child", and more! I found this book very insightful, and it was enjoying. I think you will to! So check it out, you can order a copy here (the net), visit your local book store, or take a trip to the library.

~Peace and Love~
