There are so many free people here. Me and a friend took a trip from creston to Kaslo along the way, kootenay bay , we visited a place, religious, and the rumour is that its a hippy hang out with a temple, can't remember the name. this place was beautifull, right on the lake, we also went to the beach, owned by the same place they call it POWER LINE BEACH, because of the power lines crossing the water. lots of free camping on this beach nice sand and rocks people playing music and singing , it was a cool place,, I recommend this place for the outdoor type hippy,,,.

My Score:

Comment: kaslo''s nice for the jazz fest. good times, the jam at the local pub afterwards has some amazing energy! otherwise it''s a pretty quiet little community.

powerlines is on the other side of the lake from the balfour ferry. it''s a local clothing optional place where there is lots of room for camping (shh! dont tell the locals you heard about it on the internet!! LOL!!). it''s been a while since i was there, but it''s not hard to find if you just look for the powerlines that go across the lake and aim for that. the last time i camped at powerlines there were cougar warnings, so if you''ve got kids keep them close to you.
