SDS

Students for a Democratic Society. Leftist group that organized many student protests against ROTC on campus, against the draft and the war. Some of the more radical elements formed the Weathermen, who believed in using violent means to get their message across. They were responsible for bombing banks and businesses of the establishment. After an explosion at a Greenwich Village Brownstone killed several Weathermen, the remaining members went underground.
