Re: Marijuana should be... (Score: 0) by creatively awake on Monday, May 20 @ 05:36:15 CEST (User Info ) | | If you don't use drugs then how could you make the inference that pot doesn't impair your judgement; any more than nyquil which is 15% alcohol. This is also something people use to get cheap thrills. The point is, that the concept of addiction is in way a malady of judgement. In the sense you must use a substance in order to maintain a sense of equilibrium at the expense of anyone and anything. They say pot isn't physically addictive( yet to have enough studies) it is considered mentally addictive. People steal to get it, people construct entire lifestyles around its use and culture. I have seen people neglect their families for the sake of a good time, and all in the name of pot. I have seen abuse when people are comming down from the drug, and children are in the mix of this. Yes, I have seen some families work. However, I was raised by a pot head, and I was abused most of my life and he was by no means mellow or subdued. I call this disfunction. This happened to not just my self, but countless others. i have seen so many families besides my own put through all kinds of turmoil due to pot. Judgement huh? Well, I would consider it poor judgement to lie, steal cheat, and perpetuate violence weather it be physical, verbal, neglect, or institutionalized, to me it is oppressive, and pot doesn't impaire that. It is my understanding that judgement is a mental facalty therefore if mentally controlled by a drug then how is it that your judgement, or any other mental facuty isn't going to be impaired, or controlled by the same substance? I'm sure you are not an addict or you would already know these things. |
