Ness Creek, Saskatchewan, Canada

(situated in the beautiful Boreal forest.) This is a beautiful place where time means nothing. There is a folk festival there every summer. Basically you just hang out all day with wonderful people and besides the hippie generation there is the kids-of-the-hippies-who are-now-too-old-to-party-properly-so-now-we-have-to-generation. (that would be me.) There are 3 different places to camp out. One is for the music people and it is near main stage. The other is for the party people and it is further along. Finally there there is a "quiet field" where they hope most people will be considerate enough to quiet down for the people who don't want too mush noise. IT's perfect and i love it!

Well it was either between the Nakusp Music Festival and Ness Fest, and coming here and reading everyone else's reviews, Ness wins. Nakusp sounds like the same thing, but in the Kooteney's so that means a 12 hour drive, or a 10 minute drive being that our family has a cabin @ Delaronde right by Ness Creek. I seem to miss it every year, so this year it is for SURE!! Nakusp would be nice too in the mountains, anyone heading that way the same weekend of Ness should definitely check that out!!

I LOVE Ness Creek!!! I've been going for a few years and have had the time of my life! It's one big party with all your friends and great music and entertainment, plus various workshops for those who aren't suffering from a hangover from the nite before. However, if you aren't into the "all nite party", there is a family/quiet area as well. The great thing about Ness is that anyone can attend, from 1 years old to 100 years old. So maybe c u NESS year!

I've been to ness creek for a few years in a row, and everyone that has ever been there always comes back. The setting is beautiful, especially with Nesslin Lake so close by and the music is always great.... you end up dancing your heart and legs out all weekend. If you're in the area and want to check out a great festival with great people, definately get to Ness.
