drink beer until our livers fry, so why are they "protecting" us from marijuana?
We have problems with drunk drivers killing people, and the violence
associated with alcohol. I would love for it to be legalized, I have a liver problem anyway, and would prefer weed. I would rather be allowed to grow my own, instead of buying it from "shady Joe" down the road. Legalize !!! After all this is a free country, or is it ? Hell Y'all, Ganja should be elevated, enshrined, annointed, cannonized, worshiped, tenderly tended, given freely, watered, smoked, eaten, worn, enjoyed, photographed, stuck up your nose, loved, practically anything may be done w/ ganja EXCEPT FURTHER CRIMINALIZATION!!!
Legalize it and regulate it like alcohol (minus the government grafts). No sale to minors or driving while high. Then plant it all over the country so that people don't have to shoot each other for drug money. Take all the money we save fighting pot and use it to fight something worthwhile, like AIDS. Of course, all of this would involve buying back a bunch of senators from the tobacco lobby, who stand to lose a lot of money from a product with a higher (happiness/lung cancer) ratio. I think nugs should be 100% decriminalized and legalized. Sadly, most pot smokers seem to be too stoned to do anything about it. We need to put up a fight. Fuck our republican government. They let all those dumb yuppies drink their schwag beer, but we can't even enjoy a beautiful, tasty gift from our mother Earth. We need to take a stand! Ken Kesey addressed a crowd in front of the Rock hall of fame, I was there, and he said it's our turn. We need to stand up for ourselves instead of being pushed aside and ignored. Wouldn't it be great if we could walk down the street and puff on a nice glass instead of hiding it and worrying about getting popped? Real "hippies" would laugh at the kids now- we bitch but don't do anything about it. Protest, politician, or just go to the next NORML rally. COME ON YA FUCKIN' STONERS- YOU CAN SMOKE WEED THERE, MAN!
Marijuana should most definitely be legalized, for I have seen too many good people hurt by the fact that it isn't. The police need to be busting the murderers and rapists who are rampant in my city, but instead they spend their time busting the growers, most of whom are good people who would never hurt a fly. It just doesn't make any sense. My buddy spent more time in jail for growing pot, then the guy who jumped me on the street, dragged me away and raped me did. If they legalize it, there will be more room in the jails for those who really deserve to be in jail. Think about it!
Yes, it should be legal! I know no "Smokers" who "flip out" like most people who imbibe in the legal alcohol. I think the world would be a much better place all the way around if it were legal, and in some cases, manditory!!!(ie: federal, state and local government...especially the republican party. Then maybe they wouldn't be so damned bent because Bill got a little and they didn't!) Hard day at work? Feeling unappreciated and overlooked?

Legalization--NO puts in the hands of the Govt. bad bad wrong wrong wrong!!!! Definitely decriminalized....we are decrimed in Oregon for small amts...just voted on that in 1998 they tried to recrim after 20-some years but voters said "no thanks....we are smart enough when we vote to elect you, so we are smart enough to decide on this issue too" Too many prisoners and too many $$ spent punishing people who didnt do harm to anyone, just smoked a little.....get those tweekers off the streets I say!!!! The Drug Warriors should be focusing on meth labs, not potheads.....now that is some evil mind altering shit, that causes nothing but misery and destruction of lives....... Alaska has the right idea...a man's home is his castle and growing and using in your own home should be ok.... selling to little kidz should carry some big of penalty, etc. I dk exactly how to regulate without Govt involvement.....maybe the FDA i/o DEA or the USDA After all, it is just an herb plant..you can grow poppies why not pot... yeah mariajuana is cool.........and should be legalised I think they should at least decriminalize weed. that would be a good starting point, just to see if people could handle it responsibly and not get stupid. this is not the Netherlands and i don’t know if we as Americans have the tolerance or the laid back attitude that Europeans have. yes herb should be legalized man they call this America and they don't let us smoke herb. Thats bull I strongly feel that marijuana should be decriminalized. I myself do not smoke pot, but know people who do or have in the past. A personal acquaintance of mine recently got piss tested at work. He only smoked pot and was the most level headed guy I know. His employers have put him and his family through hell when none of them have ever committed any type of criminal offense ever. To top it off he is so called in a union that has sold out to the company people without listening to its members. These people were highly respected in their community and now are being persecuted for something that is known to be safer than alcohol. I think the information available to the average person is inadequate re: Marijuana. I believe the many uses for the plant warrant its legalization and decriminalization. I also know for a fact that the effects of using it for recreational/personal high are much milder than the effects of alchohol. Alchohol impairs functioning much more. I will never understand how the fact that people use this plant to get high has kept our planet from examining & implementing the many other uses this miracle plant offers us. Just the fuel capabilities alone could make a huge difference in our world. It is hard to find anyone in the "mainstream" that understands that Marijuana (aka Hemp) has so many uses. ANYTHING that can be made from wood or oil can be made from hemp! Yes,All drugs should be. It's sad that marijuana will never be legalized. Who can we blame for this but the GOVERNMENT! They make too much money off weed and it's a big ass conspiracy. If they legalized it they would lose out on all the profits they make off of it. It's as simple and as screwed up as that. 4:20 will be a holiday forever in our hearts.....and no one will ever take that away from us. Let’s see should that stuff be legal. well what answer did you think you would receive from this group, were you perhaps inhaling a bit when you thought this would be a thought provoking question, come on admit it. Marijuana should be legalized, decriminalized, and available to each and everyone of us decent people for free. The government should also provide free and safe transportation to The Department of Natural Herbs Services or free deliveries. There is no such thing as an illegal plant, that is just a governmental scheme to strip the decent people of this country of life's most valuable asset. I believe marijuana should be decriminalized, and cultivated (hemp) for use as paper!!! I thought that would have happened by now, cept the tobacco industry sure doesn't want it, nor do the giant paper producers, I'm sure. Yes. It should be controlled similar to alcohol or cigarettes. And tax should be used to cover any potential medical expenses (similar to what is being done for cigarettes). I think that marijuana should be legalized, because look at beer-it is a matter non-organic that makes people do stupid things and causes many deaths every year. The biggest killer is drunk driving. But this isn't about beer, but rather a simple question...has marijuana ever killed anybody or led to anyone to be hurt badly? The answer is-no. They even use it on cancer patients because it increases appetite and obviously has no negative effects on someone with a terminally ill disease(s). It should be legalized, because people are also rebellion anyway, and continue to smoke it, even though the government says no. I believe that marijuana should definitely be legalized for medical use throughout the country. One thing is definite, when and/or if I need chemotherapy, I'd rather be stoned off my ass in lieu of puking my brains out. Logical? Decriminalization is the best bet; or rather "alcoholization" in which marijuana is subject to similar age and use restrictions; but as is obvious, at a much lower social and economic cost. Complete legalization but with some fair compromise, I will not use marijuana in a public setting, drive to soon after its use, provide to individuals under 18, I wont use prior to or during the workday, I wont smoke too much and vomit on myself; or start a fight or fall down the stairs. The last thing this country needs is another legalized recreational drug. Medical and production purposes I can see... but certainly not just another thing for people to get high on, lose their sorrows in, and become dependent on.... just so we can create more social programs to fix their own stupid problems... addicts. Stop making excuses to get high. Marijuana should not only be legal, it should be considered sacred.. Although I'm not a religious person myself, I know that the Bible supports the use of marijuana. In the Bible, it is said that got put on earth all sorts of "seed bearing herbs," all of which for man's use. If "seed bearing herb" isn't a perfect description of marijuana, I don't know what is. Vote Libertarian! yes, marijuana should be legalized for many reasons. a) it's only a plant that grows from the ground. ya know, doesn't it sound sorta stupid for someone to get arrested for growing a plant?!!! b) it's no more harmful for you than alcohol is, so if they're gonna keep alcohol legal then i don't get how they can not make pot legal c) it's not harmful for you're body. the only way it can be harmful is if you smoke it (ya know, smoke, lungs) but that's not even because of the pot, and it's also never been proven to be addictive, and nobody's ever died from it, while meanwhile over 300,000 people have died from tobacco, 125,000 from alcohol, 27,000 from prescription drug overdose, and 5,200 from drug overdose (other than pot) and yet they keep all these legal, and make pot illegal. IT MAKES NO SENSE!!!!!!!! d) marijuana also dose not lead to crime or violence as has been said before. actually, pot makes you calmer so that it makes less of a chance for you to become violent E)pot only gives a relaxing, calmer effect, where time doesn't exist. it's not even a hallucinogen. so it's not harmful for health, no ones died from, it doesn't lead to violence, and it's less dangerous than alcohol, yet still illegal, while all those other things are. so should it be made legal?? after all that i've said, how the hell could ya say no!!!! -jesse I am in full support of legalization of cannabis all over the world, with rules enforced similar to amsterdam to control it. You could but there would have to be more rehab sites built for the weak people who always abuse and seem to get addicted to these types of pleasures. I have never been addicted to anything although I am a child of the 70's and had my share of experimenting with drugs. I use to think yes legalize it but now I'm tired of all the trouble people seem to get into when they abuse drugs of all kinds. Marijuana should definitely be decriminalized. I am leaning toward legalization but do we want the Federal government involved? No marijuana should not be come legal. i don't want the government to continue raising the prices on it like they do cigs. and everything else. it should be decriminalized for much the same reasons, i have yet to have a health problem smoking it. i wake up hacking black gobs of tar from cigs. but have never done that with marijuana. I think pot should be leagal for all medical uses, and considered for full comercial use. I definitely think that marijuana should be legalized. Yes, it is a drug, but it's a happy, mellow drug. I think that it should be legalized for people of the age of 18, just to make the legalization realistic. Marijuana should absolutely be legalized. Nobody's ever died from an overdose...unlike alchohol, and that's legal. Besides, a lot of people smoke up, & that way we don't have to feel like criminals. Just my humble opinion. The govt. is spending too much money, and time on trying to keep the new generation off marijuana. If bud was legilized all of that would be fixed. Just because marijuana is legalized, it doesn't mean everyone is going to start doing it. It may just pump up the economy. |
