Now is not the time to become apathetic or quit.
-Bu$h's approval rating is below 40%.

-Support for the war is at 2 in 5 people and dropping.

-Karl Rove has the C.I.A. pissed at him over Vallery Plame's identity... Rove is Bush's Brain... and Bush has a lot of secrets... "the republican party cannot dictate who is important is who is not in the c.i.a.; this doesn't bode well for his credibility with our organization" -loosely quoted from anonymous cia source in Time Magazine.

-Sen. Frist (Rep.) voted his conscience on stem cells... his base is running from him, so even Rep.'s with a shot at the white house in 2008 are getting leary of the dangers of catering to the conservative base...

-John McCain (Rep.) frequently appears to cater to the people in his district (who voted for him) and not the George Bush's of the world.

-The gang of 14 who avoided the nuclear option for fillibusters is a sign that bipartisan politics might still work.

-Bush put Roberts in on supreme court during a recess... even republican newspaper writers are referring to this move as the "president waiting to "get his way" (much like a big baby as opposed to the leader of the free world).

-the general public now know who Tom Delay is and high numbers don't approve.

-The president blew his "political capital" less than 3 months into his presidency... with his social security reform that people on a whole reject.

-Hunter S. Thompson (an outspoken critic of Republicans) is dead and now has the powers of a qhost... since he died, almost 80% of the Republican's schemes are beginning to fall apart.

-polls show that almost 3 in 5 people would vote for a dem. as opposed to a rep. next year, the way things are being run right now...

-Afghanistan is no longer contained, Iraq is a fucking mess, al-Quaida is stronger than it was in 2001, and Iran/Pakistan/India/N. Korea all know are military strength has been weakened... all under Republican dominated congressional control.

-an Iraq veteran ran for mayor in an Ohio town that has been under republican control for something like 20 years... he NARROWLY lost (which means he did better than most dem.'s have there in the past)

-John Bolton is still around the corner... he is not a sympathetic-looking man.

-If the Democrats make a killing at the ballot box in 2006, it does not look good for the president...

-The pussies who ran off to Canada/Europe are missing out in what looks to be the most fun in politics since Watergate.

-There was no internet in 1973.

-90% of people under the age of 35 are intending to vote democratic in the future... what a shitstorm... if they vote with the numbers they did in 2004... well, they sky's the limit...

Obiously, now is not the time to get apathetic about the future of our great nation... stay strong; keep hope alive; and open your doors, hands, and hearts to everyone jumping the S.S. Republican Ship... don't say "i told you so, man"... otherwise the cycle of hate continues... and remember there are a few Republican leaders that, while they might be anti-abotion and waste time with things like the 10 commandments in courthouses, some of them are decent people that deep down in their hearts, they didn't want ameriKa to be as bruised as it now appears to be...

God isn't dead, he just decided that we were smart enough (stem cells, mapping the human genome) to fight our own battles... we are no longer the primitive people you read about in the Bible. and now people are realizing, "hey, maybe we did get duped by bush; if kerry wouldn't have come off so liberal and more centrist he probably would've done a decent job!"

God bless America!!!

p.s. even jesus, on the cross, cried out, "eloi, eloi, sabacthani..." ("my God, my God, why have you forsaken me")... sometimes it takes an evil prick like george bush/the romans to change mankind for the better.

Thank you

Tripping: An Anthology of True-Life Psychedelic Adventures by Charles Hayes

If you're like me, an old hippie, you've experienced many a trip back in the heydays of 60s and 70s, when you cheerfully dropped windowpane, synthetic mescaline, peyote, psilocybin, orange sunshine, blotter or even the famous Owsley Blue acid. And perhaps like me you felt like you've been there, done that, and there wasn't much point to revisiting the dark closets of your ego after having thoroughly rummaged through it so many times before. Yup, you might feel like those days of deep introspection and self-analysis helped awaken your true self, but there's no need begin psychedelic therapy again...or is there?
